Development of the 1999 Suzuki GSXR 750

All to often people spend £1000's trying to go faster, I am challenging this with the idea of removing weight and making use of what you have. Through development of exisiting technology and selecting different materials to help reduce weight and improve acceleration, can an 18 year old bike compete with modern and higher powered machines? with enough time, careful consideration and thinking anything is possible.

Why the 99' GSXR?

Firstly lets understand that you have what you have, in my case I brought my bike 8 years ago and since then done minor changes and improvements. Secondly, as much as I like some of the newer bikes, I am always keen to go past newer bikes that have a lot more power. Thirdly there is a great community with the SRAD owners, often sharing advice and tips. So since I already owned one, it cost me 10% of a new high end bike at the time, it doesn't matter too much if it all goes wrong. Keep an eye on the blog to see what we are doing and have planned.
